Britt and I (as well as the rest of the committee) are starting to get really really excited about Relay! We can hardly believe it will be THIS Friday!
Although it is so close, we did not need to have a committee meeting this evening. It felt very strange, but we pretty much have everything covered as long as we have enough help at the event.
We are still working hard to get food donations. We have a good number of pizzas, which is awesome, but we are trying to get a sufficient amount of breakfast donations and other snacks. We have some, but we are still counting on a few more.
We had a walk-through with managers of the gym facilities, physical plant, and safety & security. Things went really well and we seem to be all set to go! We will begin decorating on Thursday and then get everything else set up Friday afternoon.
There was a team captain meeting and discussed team spirit. We encourage all teams to come up with a team theme (a favorite movie, movie genre, or movie era) and then wear costumes which go along with that theme. It should be tons of fun to see what everyone comes up with! We also hope all the teams can make a team banner to display at their campsite and a spirit stick for the team member who is walking the track at the time to hold. Materials for making these can be found in Kanbar 311. We will be having contests for best team theme, costumes, banner, etc. :D
Well, although I have tons more to say, just because it's Relay week doesn't mean I don't have a huge History of Architecture case study due Friday, so I had really better get to work on that.
